Seeds of Change Mala is getting serious about planting some big seeds this summer. We will be traveling to Bali to work with the children of the Yayasan Widya Guna School. Our goal is to raise enough money to send 5 kids to school next year and we are calling on you, the Seeds of Change family to join the effort.

For as little as $35 a month you can send a child with special needs to school in Bali.
Thats means that the entire school year tuition come to only $315.

I cannot stress to you what a need this school fills in the community. Providing care to children with special needs is a very new service to the Bali island community. Historically children were left at home and not included in education or life in the village. Attitudes about what it means to be differently abled are quickly changing. There are very few resources on the ground to facilitate this change and the actions of this school are revolutionary. Something as seemingly simple as wheelchair accessibility is unheard of which alone can isolate and separate a whole population of children.

The Yayasan Widya Guna School is on the forefront of changing minds and hearts about what is means to be “different” and what beautiful gifts these children bring to the world. The school has been operating since 2006 as a non profit, and continues to grow. The founders and staff are truly pioneers in education in Bali.

I have been to the school. We took the money from the very first mala sale and brought the children musical instruments. It was a life changing moment to see children light up and learn through the simple act of playing together with their peers and teachers. I can personally attest to the integrity of this school and the desperate need it is fulfilling in this community. There are very few if any other opportunities that these children will have to receive an education if not through this organization.
